Sales Down at Blyth

Company intends to attract sales consultants.

Blyth is feeling the effects of shoppers’ selective budgeting on home fragrance, as seen in its fiscal 2011 and fourth quarter reports. For the year ended Jan. 31, 2011, net sales declined 6% to $900.9 million. However, operating profit rose 6% to $46.6 million. Net sales for the fourth quarter also declined 6% to $303.3 million.
